Stormwater Systems in Morris County, NJ

Runoff is manageable when it has somewhere to go. We build the infrastructure that collects storm water, carries it in pitched pipe, and releases it safely: trench drains, catch basins, dry wells, buried downspout lines, and culverts, all installed by our own excavation crew.

Trench Drains & Catch Basins

Trench Drains & Catch Basins

Collection is the first half of any stormwater system. Trench drains run across pavement to intercept sheet flow before it reaches a garage or a walkway, and catch basins sit at the low points where surface water gathers. Both tie into buried pipe that carries the water away instead of letting it pond at the grate.

Buried Downspout Lines & Culverts

Buried Downspout Lines & Culverts

A roof concentrates a large volume of rain at a few downspouts, and letting that volume soak in beside the foundation is how basements get wet. We pipe downspouts underground to a safe outlet instead. Where a driveway or access road crosses a drainage path, we set a culvert so the water keeps moving under the pavement rather than washing over it.

Dry Wells & Safe Discharge

Dry Wells & Safe Discharge

Every system ends at a discharge point. On lots with fall, that can be a downhill outlet or a pop-up emitter at the lawn. On flat lots, a dry well stores the surge underground and releases it into the soil gradually. Your grades, your soil, and the roof and pavement area feeding the system decide which one fits, and we work that out during the site visit.

Excavation, Pipe & Restoration by One Crew

Excavation, Pipe & Restoration by One Crew

Pipes only perform when the surface pitch feeds them, so we build grading corrections into the same project. One crew handles the excavation, the pipe and stone, the grading, and the restoration afterward, which keeps the plan consistent from collection to discharge.

After dealing with pooling issues and erosion problems, I needed professional help with grading and building a retaining wall. Nick and his team handled everything with true professionalism. The retaining wall looks amazing, and the property finally has the correct pitch.

Common questions

Before You Call

Do I need a stormwater system or a drainage fix?

The two overlap, and the distinction is simple. Drainage work fixes a water problem your property already has, like a soggy lawn or a wet basement, and our drainage systems page covers that side. Stormwater work builds the infrastructure that collects and moves runoff: trench drains, catch basins, dry wells, and culverts. Many projects include both, and the same crew designs and builds either one.

Where does the collected water actually go?

To a discharge point chosen for your lot: a downhill outlet, a pop-up emitter at the lawn, or a dry well that soaks the water into the ground away from the house. Which one fits depends on your grades and soil, and we confirm that on the free site visit before quoting the system.
